GENERAL EVENT IINFORMATION
WELCOME!
Riders and their families have worked long and hard to reach this top level of competition. We want you to have a good time at the TransCan, but we also want you to have every opportunity to be your best in the competition. This means there are ground rules that everyone must follow. Failure to comply with these rules may result in your disqualification and/or removal from the event. This goes for your family, friends and pit crew as well. Remember - the rider is responsible for the actions of his/her pit crew.
BEFORE ARRIVAL
Please read all rules before your first trip to Walton Raceway.
Please fill out waiver forms located on our website before your first trip of the year to Walton Raceway.
A legal guardian must complete minor waiver forms.
Spectators and/or participants on the property assume all risks and injuries or damages resulting from therefrom.
Please check with our staff if you need more clarification on our rules and guidelines.
ARRIVAL
Upon arrival at Gate B (42932 Walton Road, Walton, ON), vehicles must stop and check in at the Walton Raceway black tent to receive their week passes (participant, vehicle, golf cart, etc.). All persons must sign the necessary waivers before entering the facility. Our staff will place your vehicle sticker on the driver’s side of the front windshield of your vehicle for display at all times. Each permit will be assigned to a specific rider.
All riders are required to sign in during their designated times below. Minors are not required to attend registration. Registration will be held at the Solar Shed as follows:
Monday
7:00pm - 9:00pm
TRANSPONDERS
All classes, excluding Tykes, are required to use transponders. It is the member’s responsibility to have your transponder up to date. This is not a Walton Raceway/AMO-related question (though we can help point you in the right direction if you need it). You must contact the folks at https://speedhiveshop.mylaps.com/tr2-mx-transponder.html for all information, inquiries, and updates related to your transponder. Please also ensure your subscription is up to date and activated before racing begins on Tuesday.
We do not sell transponders. AMO (Ryan Gauld) rents them for the week of TransCan on a first-come-first-served basis. You may reserve a transponder rental by e-transferring $50 to amoracingreloaded@gmail.com with the following information in the transfer description:
Bike #
Name
Classes
Screenshot or save the transaction for when you arrive to get the transponder.
The transponder pick-up time will be Wednesday from 9am - 5pm in the scoring trailer at the Fox Racing Amateur Finish Line. Please ensure you have picked up your transponder before your first moto on Wednesday (if you have one). This ensures your charged transponder will last until end-of-day Saturday. Transponders must be returned 30 minutes after your final moto. A credit card/license will be required to leave in the scoring trailer for the rental. Cash is also welcome to be used to rent onsite.
CAMPING AREA
You will be escorted to your camping area by a Walton TransCan staff member. You are not able to reserve a campsite for a friend. Do not use or take up space for more than one site. If you want to camp with friends, please meet them off-site and arrive together.
SPEED LIMIT
We have a speed limit of 10 km/h in our pit area and parking fields. This rule is for all vehicles, dirt bikes, e-bicycles, e-bikes, and Side by Sides. Our pit area can be very busy with pedestrians and children.
NON-POTABLE WATER
Non-potable water is available when entering the event at a set location on the map.
DUMP STATION
August 9, 2024 - the Municipality of North Huron has emailed to let us know they have closed the dump station, unfortunately.
CAMPFIRES
Must be in a raised fire pit, minimum 12" from the ground. NO GROUND FIRES.
GARBAGE
Please be respectful of the property, no littering.
Daily beginning on Wednesday 10am + 6pm
Please bag your garbage and place it at the front of your lot near the roadway. Guy and his crew will pick up your garbage for you!
Popular items that are often confused as garbage but should be taken home with you to properly dispose of:
- tires
- oil canisters
- scrap metal
- furniture (couches, recliners, broken camp chairs)
- home appliances
- anything not contained within the garbage bag. Do not lean additional refuse up against the bag.
- Broken tents (sleeping or pop-up)
- Anything your neighbourhood garbage disposal company would NOT pick up on a normal day.
Garbage barrels are not for personal campsite use.
POWER WASHERS
Power washing at campsites is permitted only if the washing does not interfere with your neighbours or create a mess. Do not wash your bikes on the roadway, this creates a mess for vehicles to drive over.
SHOWERS
There will be showers available, check the map for location.
QUIET
Quiet time is 30 minutes after the close of scheduled evening activities. No loud music or noise after this time, as our racers need their rest. Be considerate of your neighbours.

Please remember that you and your family are guests of Walton Raceway, the Keast family, MRC, the Triple Crown Series, Huron East and Huron County. You are representing our industry and our great sport of motocross. Your behaviour will reflect on how the public views our sport. Inappropriate behaviour reported by any local business personnel, Walton staff or law enforcement officer may result in disqualification. You have worked too hard to take on that chance.
Have a safe trip, and we’ll see you at the races!
